Celebrate the season with Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø

The Winters School of Music at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø is alive with sound as students rehearse for two upcoming Christmas concerts.

“These events are more than performances; they are a ministry,” said Dr. Brandon Hardin, dean of the Winters School.

“We believe that Christmas is the celebration of the greatest hope the world has ever known: the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. These concerts are our way of sharing the good news. We aren't just performing; we are using the gift of music to share the gospel story that God is perfect, we are sinners, Christ came to rescue us, and one day He will return.”

A Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Christmas

On Nov. 21-22, Winters School will present its annual “A Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Christmas” at Hardy Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Come Jesus Come!”

This premiere Christmas event features the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Worship Choir and Orchestra, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Dance, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Guard and dancers from Jamie’s Performing Arts Studio.

There will be three performances. The first show will be Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 22, there will be performances at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now – don’t wait to make a reservation because they sell out every year!

Keyboards at Christmas

William Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø’s “Keyboards at Christmas” concert will be Thursday, Dec. 4, at Thomas Fine Arts Auditorium. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Winters School of Music has welcomed the community to this concert tradition for more than 25 years. It’s a unique experience because the audience is seated onstage, in a circle, surrounding four grand pianos. In the center of the circle, students, faculty members and guest artists perform an evening of duets, trios, quartets – even an octet.

The concert is free, but seating is limited. Audience members need to make reservations. To save your seat, email music@wmcarey.edu.
